Blogging Life

I was reading this article linked below and one of the ways to fail your blog is not posting enough new content. This is something that I have been clearly struggling with as most of my posts are regarding the project I am working on, my lack of time due to life, and the occasional book review.

How do you post new content while still sticking with the same theme (my theme being writing in general) I don't really have any tips, tricks or hacks to delve into just yet seeing as I am a pretty novice writer. I could borrow some from other blogs and just link the blog but then why wouldn't you just go read those blogs? See where I'm at?

I know my blog is still small and my readers are quiet lurkers, not commenters (which is an okay way to be!) but it doesn't help when I need some feedback on what to write about.

So how do you NOT fail a blog according to BloggingPro?
Change it up. Write something different, change your template, or even switch platforms. You could also switch topics or niches (which could cause you to lose some of your followers that are looking for a certain niche, but could also help you gain some new ones.)

Have other people evaluate your blog. Look at the content, the template, etc to see where eyou could improve. (What do you think? Where could I improve here?)

Reviews!
I don't really review products, but I do review books I have read. Though I don't get them for free so there's no issue with me lying to you guys there.

Guest blogging. Don't blog for every blog you come across and don't just let anyone on your own blog. I don't think I'm there yet anyways.

How do you keep your blog from drowning in a sea of other blogs? New, different content. I'll get there! (one day!)

Until then, I will continue plucking away and advertising on Twitter.
